Ser una persona intelectual te deja con más preguntas que respuestas. Puedes llenar tu vida de ideas y aún así volver a casa sintiéndote sola. Lo que realmente importa son los sentimientos. De eso trata la música para mí.
Janis Joplin
Janis Joplin (1943 – 1970) fue considerada una de las primeras estrellas de rock femeninas, siendo la suya una de las voces más únicas y características de la historia de la música. Cantó con toda su alma el dolor y la soledad, transformándolos en la belleza de sus canciones. Desde niña sufrió bullying y fue marginada por su físico. Solía decir que sólo en el escenario cantando delante del público se sentía realmente acompañada. «Ningún tío me ha hecho sentir nunca tan bien como me hace sentir el público.»
«Being an intellectual creates a lot of questions and no answers. You can fill your life up with ideas and still go home lonely. All you really have that really matters are feelings. That’s what music is to me.”

Janis Joplin (1943 – 1970) was considered one of the first female rock stars and hers was one of the most unique and characteristic voices in music history. She sang her heart out every time she was on stage, all her pain and her solitude transformed into the beauty of her songs. Since childhood she suffered bullying because of her physical appearance and felt ostracized. She used to say that she only felt safe from loneliness on stage while performing for crowds. «I know no guy ever made me feel as good as an audience.»

Donde cantan las ballenas 
Joplin solía bajar las escaleras del escenario después de un concierto llorando. Así de intensas eran sus actuaciones,dolor,pasión y honestidad. La interacción entre lo que ocurría en el escenario y la audiencia era un espectáculo. Janis conseguía el efecto de una pila cargando a otra. “Cuando ella cantaba oías la libertad”.
Pero murió sola,siempre buscó ser aceptada y amada,ser una de las más grandes no pudo curar su gran herida.

Era un alma herida y como tantos grandes hizo de su dolor arte, un bálsamo para los demás. Ojalá no hubiera muerto así y ojalá hubiera vivido más años para encontrar ese amor y algo de paz… 💔
